Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Executive to join our team in Colombo on a full-time, on-site basis.
This role involves managing end-to-end bookkeeping, overseeing financial accounts, ensuring compliance with Australian and New Zealand standards, and delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly accurate, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and enhance operational efficiency.
๐น Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping activities
- Oversee financial accounts and ensure compliance with standard accounting practices
- Prepare and review GST returns (AU/NZ)
- Handle BAS preparation and manage ATO compliance requirements
- Process New Zealand payroll and ensure timely PAYE filings
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile invoices and bills
- Prepare and analyze monthly management reports
- Assist with budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional client service
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance deliverables and maintain operational efficiency

๐น Qualifications & Experience
- Australian and/or New Zealand accounting: a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is essential
- Strong BAS and ATO experience
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Strong expertise in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Tax Compliance
- Previous experience in an accounting or client service role preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial tools
